The best part of Slack is, without a doubt, the incredible parrot selection. Their shimmies; the speeds with which they shimmy — it's all just too good. My favorites are Goth Parrot, Sad Parrot, and Ultra Fast Parrot. But you can choose your own fighter.
The party parrots are ideal for large group costumes — my team at work may or may not be dressing up as the parrots this year, and I may or may choose to be the Guy Fieri one. We will be achieve this by wearing feather boas around our necks and beaks affixed to our faces, as well as by moving our heads in circular motion all day.
Elizabeth Holmes
Elizabeth Holmes is basically the ultimate Silicon Valley Halloween costume. Once named the world's youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes, Holmes founded biotech company Theranos, a company that purported to revolutionize healthcare as we know it until...it was revealed to be an unprecedented fraud run by a true scammer (with a fake voice and fake wolf/dog to boot). To achieve her look, all you need is a black turtleneck, a lot of black eyeliner, a deep baritone, and perhaps a small vial of blood to hold betwixt your fingers.
VSCO Girls
The VSCO Girl, whose quintessential Gen Z aesthetic rose to fame via TikTok this year, is sure to be a fixture at basically every single Halloween party. She wears checkerboard vans, carries a HydroFlask (she's sustainable!), sports a scrunchie in her hair and a scrunchie on her wrist, and, importantly, edits her photos with VSCO for that unmistakably SoCal tinge.
And with the help of this starter pack, her look can be yours, too.
AirPods
The ultimate couples' costume. Grab your boo, throw on all-white (and individual 'Pods, of course), and hop in a white pillow case for pics.
Salsa Dancer Emoji
Emojis, like Slack parrots, make for really good costume inspo. Be like the salsa girl, pictured here, if you want an excuse to wear a show-stopping red dress. Or if you have a friend who wants in, be like the dancing women with bunny ears.
