One of the most frustrating things about Snapchat is that, unlike Instagram, it lacks a "Discover" tab. This means that it's far harder to discover new people to follow and, unless you know their usernames, just as tough to figure out which of your favorite celebs and public figures use the app.
All of that is finally about to get way easier: There are a few Easter eggs that you need to know to find Snapchat's Official Stories. Only a select group of Snapchatters, primarily athletes, celebs, and other people in the public eye, earn the coveted "official" distinction on the app, which is denoted by an emoji next to their username.
Want to figure out which of your favorite singers and actresses are sharing stories? There are ways to search directly within Snapchat. We've rounded up all of the hidden tools right here, so you can finally find all the stories you really want to see. If you thought you knew all of Snapchat's secrets, prepare to have your mind blown.
If you are looking for a specific celeb or public figure, you can search their name in "Add Friends," or directly from your Stories page. To search within stories, just swipe downwards and the search bar will appear at the top of the screen.

Want to discover new celebs on Snapchat? Easy. Just go to the search bar in your "Stories" tab and type in "official." Doing so will reveal everyone who has a story live at that moment.

If you want to see a celeb's story without adding them as a friend, just press the circle to the left of their username.

Each official account also has its own emoji to denote that it's official. This means that if you want to go rogue and find everyone who is official (even if they don't necessarily have a live story at the moment), you can search by individual emoji.

Want to find your favorite teams? Most professional leagues, from football to soccer, have official Snapchat accounts that will show up when you search by their sport's emoji.

Last month, a new update made it possible to send stories you like to your friends, so that they can watch, too. If you're watching Shay Mitchell's story and want your sister to see it, just press down on the screen and send as you would any other story.
